J-A is a singer/songwriter from San Diego, CA. He has been composing music since the age of six and performing since the age of three. His influences range from Frank Sinatra to Louis Armstrong, Judy Garland to Barbra Streisand, The Beatles, Aerosmith, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard,  Vince Gill, James Taylor, Eric Clapton, BB King, Bonnie Raitt, Carole King, Reba McEntire, Dolly Parton, and Elvis Presley. An old soul, he has always expressed great appreciation for the greats. 

 

"It is very essential to have heroes. I've always found it very important to respect the people who came before you; because God knows without them, there would be no us."

 

 In 2014, he released his first Christmas album, Together For Christmas which included 8 duets of Christmas classics and an original Christmas song titled, "Good Ole Christmas Feelin'", which became very successful around San Diego County -- performing it live in front of 2,000 people at December Nights in Balboa Park.

 

J-A primiarly is a folk/rock artist. 

 

"You can hear a lot of my influences in my music, but I don't like sticking to just one thing. I feel it's unfair. I've always grativated toward what felt real to me musically. More or less I do my own thing and at the end of the day, organic music is what I play, live, and breathe. It's got to feel right in my soul."

Currently, J-A is playing regular gigs at San Diego's famous Lestat's West Music Venue. He is a part of a stellar cast of musicians and artists such as; Tony P, Elisia Savoca, Alex Famous, Kennady Tracy, Samer Bakri, and Caroline Corn. He is also heavily involved as a leader and teacher on Concordia Church & School's Worship Music Team and After School Program.
